New medical centre in Conegliano
Essential forms and attention to detail characterise the design of the new Centro di Medicina in Conegliano.
The building, designed by architect Mario Mazzer, was conceived as an extension of the existing clinic. The construction proved to be a challenge from the start, as it had to be completed within very tight timeframes and without disrupting activities inside the existing building.
The monolithic shape and its strict geometry are interrupted by the large glass opening at the entrance. Additional strength is ensured by the choice of cladding material, black aluminium sheeting, punctuated only by small green inserts that, depending on the incidence of sunlight on them, shape the south façade. The building, besides having a striking aesthetic impact, meets high functionality standards and falls within energy classification A.
